If you are going to spend the whole time slaving away at the
barbeque yourself then sometimes this can mean that no one really gets to see you and that is of course going to somewhat defeat the object. Meanwhile if you are using your bbq catering for a corporate event or meeting then you will want to be able to use the time to mingle with other business people, to promote your business and to make contacts. If you spend the whole time cooking, then again this will somewhat defeat the object of your bbq in the first place.

At the end of the day, when you use a barbeque you are using a piece of metal filled with coal and fire and it doesn't take much to accidentally knock it over or fall into it.
