Olympic Barbecue, Anyone?
With the 2012 Olympics charging the country with fever, there has never been a better time to get to know your neighbors or your community better. There is nothing like a shared passion or common interest to drawn people together and of you put some food and beer on the table as well; you’re bound to have a successful day. Maybe the weather isn’t as promising as it should be for the time of year – but come on, let’s just celebrate!
Talk to your neighbors and agree on a day in the not too distant future when you can all get together wither in your garden/yard or theirs. Volunteer to arrange
catering for everyone but make sure everyone puts a bit of something in the money pot so you’re not completely out of pocket. You can either provide alcohol or ask everyone to bring a bit of something but do remember that the caterers can also settle this for you.
If you do that, don’t forget juice for the children or those who don’t drink alcohol. Buy paper plates and plastic cutlery and this will save you a major headache in washing up as you can just throw it in the recycling when it’s been used. Get your music sorted and fire up the BBQ!
