Barbecue grills are must-haves for families who love to dine al fresco. There are many to choose from like gas, charcoal or electric as well as different sizes that cater to just a couple of people all the way to over a dozen. But whether it’s a small grill or a large one you plan to buy, the idea is to invest in a quality barbecue which will last for years.
Type
The three types of grills are charcoal, gas and electric and every person has their preference. The key points to keep in mind, however, are that charcoal has a slow start-up but is cheap; gas offers instant fire and heat but is expensive; and, electric relies on power source and is portable.
Size
Don’t purchase a large grill if you know you’ll be cooking for just two or three people. Moreover, if you mean to barbecue just once in a while, then even the portable variety will suffice.
Additional features
Grills have become fancier over the past few years and offer additional features like ovens and refrigerators. Decide on whether you need them and know that the fancier the grill, the pricier it will be.

No matter what type of grill you purchase, there are several things it must have. These include a deep oven design, cast iron cooking grids and vaporizers with v-shaped ridges.
