Great Tasting Barbecue Sauces From All Over The Globe

Are you bored of the usual barbecue marinade and sauces that you make use of to cook barbecue? Do you want to know what your options are when it comes to these add-ons to the dish? Well, you do not have to wait long enough. You simply have to read this page and see which sauces make raves in different countries all over the globe.

Germany's curry sauce

Would you believe that this sauce was created out of accident? The story says that it was conceptualised after a jar of curry powder was mixed with ketchup. Well, there is indeed something good about the accidental combination of these two ingredients. Now, both Germans and non-Germans alike are enjoying the tangy, zesty, chilly taste of the sauce. In Germany, it is a great partner to the grilled sausage currywurst. This does not limit the taste of the barbecued sauce to just that. You can actually try it on any barbecued meat or grilled food you have prepared.

Asian barbecue sauce

Just like Germany's curry sauce, the Asian barbecue sauce is just a quick recipe that anyone from around the world may consider concocting. This is a combination of three sauces – soy, barbecue and chilli. Simply mix these sauces in the proportions most favourable for you and voila! You now have a tasty sauce to use for your Asian-inspired barbecue party. You can omit the chilli if you want to then add a zest of lemon into the sauce instead.

Italy's Salsa Verde

This one is more complicated than the Asian and Germany barbecue sauces. The reason for that is the number of ingredients used to come up with this delectable sauce. Salsa Verde, meaning green sauce, is a combination of chopped capers, little Mediterranean umami bombs, minced garlic, olive oil, chopped parsley, red hot pepper flakes and fresh lemon juice. You can also add anchovies to the concoction. To enjoy this sauce better, make sure you prepare it in two hours or less before serving it on the table.

Spain's Romesco sauce

If you are grilling poultry, seafood or meat, the Romesco sauce is a good choice. This one is made of dried chiles (you can use chilli flakes as a substitute), pureed roasted tomatoes, olive oil, onions and garlic. The sauce is thickened by ground nuts and bread and is said to be a perfect partner to chargrilled Catalan spring onions.

France's Rouille sauce

Rouille was actually introduced as a partner to the popular French cuisine bouillabaisse. This fish stew was blessed by this garlicky sauce but these days, it is considered to work well with grilled vegetables, veal and lamb. The sauce is actually a mix of saffron, cayenne pepper, roasted bell peppers and of course, garlic. You can toss all these ingredients in your food processor and voila! You will surely have that perfect-tasting sauce for your grilled food.

American barbecue sauce

There are many different American barbecue sauces that you may choose from. You can try South Carolina's magic mustard, a combination of mustard with vinegar. Additionally, you can also use mustard and blend it with honey for that perfect Honey-Dijon barbecue sauce. You can also experience Alabama's white barbecue sauce recipe, one that uses mayonnaise as the base and is blended with tomato. Different states of the US have already introduced their own flavours in the world of barbecue sauces and all of them are a must-try.

All these great barbecue sauces complement every grilled food you serve on the plate. You can experiment on each of them and combine ingredients in proportions that will suit your taste.
