Be Careful With Your BBQ!
Having a barbecue and
catering for a group of people is a wonderful way to bring friends and family together to share new and food. However, you should pay attention when cooking on the barbecue as many accidents occur due to a lack of vigilance or attention.
Never get your barbecue to fire up by using petrol or other accelerants. This may sound obvious, but if you are using charcoal, there have been many accidents over the years due to this kind of fuel being added to a smoldering block. We all know you are excited and eager to get going, but keep it safe.
The second rule is never leave the barbecue unattended, whether it has food cooking on it or not. It can be very easy for a BBQ to get out of control and if no one is looking after it the fire that it causes can quickly spread, especially it tips over onto the ground. And if you think this can’t happen to you then check your public records – they’re full of accidents and injuries to people who thought exactly the same thing!
Dispose of your BBQ responsibly after use. Allow it to cool completely before removing the charcoals, as charcoal can remain hot for a long time, and can smolder quietly unnoticeably.
If you find that all these precautions is too much of a trouble, of course you can leave all your worrying to the BBQ catering company and just sit back and relax!
