Choosing A Barbecue For Catering

Large catering companies have all the latest kitchen equipment to make cooking and serving efficient. However, start-ups may not have the liberty of purchasing top-of-the-line equipment owing to financial constraints. It pays, therefore, to know what type of barbecue grill to buy, for example, if one caters frequently for small or large events. Size BBQs are available in many different sizes with larger ones being more effective and, thus, more expensive. Two-burner gas grills or medium size charcoal ones are enough to cater for around six people while larger barbecues with four burners will do for a gathering of 12 to 13 people. Type There are barbecues that work using charcoal, gas and electricity. While the last isn’t feasible for catering as it won’t function if the power goes out, the other two can be relied on so long as there is a supply of fuel. Gas-powered grills may be a better option for catering as they’re faster but you will need to compromise on taste as the charcoal flavor is not present. Style Barbecues are available as carts, kettles and kamados to name a few. For catering, freestanding ones are the best as they are portable and can be stored easily. But if transportation and mobility aren’t factors, then large grills that can cook for a large number of people are the best.
