How Far Back Does The Art Of Back Yard Grilling Extend?

It’s probably safe to assume that the discovery of fire had a lot to do with the first outdoor (or cave) grilling experience. Thus goes the complicated history of barbeque. Now grilling BBQ as an art—that’s a whole other ball game. Are you grilling or are you BBQ-ing? And no, they are not one in the same. Got a heat source? Open flame maybe? Great, you can grill. Spice rubs and smoky flavor are also a big favorite of authentic BBQ masters. The northern Midwest of the United States is mostly responsible for making these terms interchangeable, but a true master knows that there are massive differences. In 1706, England tried their collective hand in what would become a culinary art form. Wood sticks and chips were used back then. (Apparently there was no Kingsford to be found in the kingdom.)
