How to Establish a Barbeque Catering Business Part 2

If you are interested in setting up your own personal barbeque catering business continue reading this post. In the previous post of this series we mentioned the reasons why someone would want to hire a barbeque caterer and we also mentioned that in order to begin you will need a business license. Assuming you have acquired a business license for your barbeque catering business you can continue with the next steps which are building clientele and advertising. You will probably want to set up an office for your catering business where people can find your services and where you can handle business transactions, phone calls, etc. The next step would be to get a food selling permit. If you are going to be selling food in public areas you will need a permit that states that you know how to make food properly and hygienically. Once you have all the necessary permits you can start building a clientele base. You can build clientele by advertising to your friends and family first – through word of mouth. You can also do some small jobs for your friends and family at a low rate to show what you can do – if they like what you have to offer they will in turn tell their friends and family about your services and before you know it you will have a lot of regular work.
